Manny Pacquaio: It’s easy to have faith in good times, but what about in the bad times?

 Luke 17: 1-6

Jesus said to his disciples, “Scandals will necessarily come and cause people to fall; but woe to the one who has brought it about. It would be better for that one to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around the neck. Truly this would be better for that person than to cause one of these little ones to fall.

Be careful. If your brother offends you, rebuke him and if he is sorry, forgive him. And if he offends you seven times: “I’m sorry,’  forgive him.”

The apostles said to the Lord, “increase our faith.” And the Lord said, “If you have faith even the size of a mustard seed, you may say to this tree: ‘Be uprooted and plant yourself in the sea, ‘ and it will obey you.

God has a purpose. He has a better plan. Manny is not only a boxing champ, but also God’s champ as well. My appreciation and respect for this man has only become stronger and deeper with his defeat. Manny said that his faith only got deeper. He said that God wants him to have faith even in bad times. According to him, it is easy to have faith during good times, but what about in bad times? He said he is happy because even if he lost the fight, he still has his faith. That says a lot about this man. I believe that God is using him to be an ambassador, not only to those who are happy, rich, and famous but also to those who are small, brokenhearted and poor. I am so proud of my kababayan. He continues to be a living inspiration to many. God’s love shines through him. 🙂
